SPECTRUM PORTRAIT PROJECT
As part of our ongoing work with Spectrum we’ve got some very special new films to show you!
From the beginning we knew that Spectrum had a wealth of interesting subjects that were demanding to be explored further. So we conceived the idea to curate a series of short films by a selection of animation directors, each one a portrait of an individual that Spectrum care for.
We sent out a call to the great and good of the animation industry and were knocked sideways by the huge response; within a week we had our full team of directors, each celebrated and talented in their own right:
Mikey Please, Studio AKA’s Kristian Andrew, Matthias Hoegg, Not To Scale’s U.F.O and us, Art & Graft!
Following in our footsteps, the directors all ventured down to Cornwall to meet the subjects of their portraits and learn more about the lovely people at Spectrum and all the lovely stuff they do.
We arranged group critiques over a few beers at different stages of production so that we could get together and share thoughts and ideas on each other’s films, which was really interesting and helpful considering the caliber of directors we had onboard.
The completed films went down a treat when premiered at the Spectrum Art Auction, held at The Saatchi Gallery on 4th July 2012.
And now you lucky folks can watch them all here!
