For an annual music industry get-together we created a half-hour film to sum up Polydor’s highlights of 2006 and celebrate its artist’s successes.
The film’s 50-second introduction is soundtracked by a range of acts and takes the theme of Polydor’s ‘musical army’. A ‘soldier’ is inspired by a North Korean Arirang Mass Games’ gymnast and her weapons are musical instruments, orchestrated and choreographed with precision.
Live action sequences filmed on green-screen, combined with animation to form kaleidoscopic visual tricks. The colours take their cues from both Polydor’s brand identity and the aesthetic of communist propaganda posters.
